Common Swing Fault / Fix: Trail Hand Grip

Common Fault / Fix Video – Trail Hand Grip

Watch the video below and see one of the most common faults we see in those working on their single plane swing – a weak and robust trail hand grip.

Improper rotation (placement) of the trail hand grip can cause:

  • Difficulty getting the club in proper single plane set up
  • Club shaft will not line up with trail forearm (unique plane alignment)
  • The challenge is getting the club on plane thus potentially causing an “over the top” move.
  • Weak leverage/improper leverage throughout swing – causing lack of speed and distance
  • The closed or open clubface at impact producing right/left shots and eventually compensations in the swing.
