Coach’s Corner: “Play golf from the Heart”
Hi members, my name is Nick Castle, I am the Director of the
1-Day Single Plane Experience Schools.
The coach’s corner is a new addition to the newsletter, which
will feature stories from the Graves Golf coaching staff, insight
on what members experience at Graves Golf Schools, and a
platform to answer your questions about the Single Plane
Experience.
One of the questions I am frequently asked is “Why did I want
to become a Graves Golf Instructor? “ I tell them the story…
After one of the last rounds Moe was able to play before his
passing, he met up for dinner with his playing partners. When
Moe came into the restaurant, he proclaimed, “I found the
secret, I found the secret to golf.”
He proceeded to hand out a folded piece of paper to each
person in the group. On those pieces of paper Moe had hand
written the words, “Play Golf From the Heart”.
The reason I and several of the other coaches became
instructors, was for that love of the game, to preserve the
legacy of Moe Norman, to spread that wisdom, those feeling,
to touch as many people as we could, to improve people’s
quality of life through the enjoyment of the game they love.
For the gratification of watching a student, have a “Ah Ha”
moment and discover the feeling of greatness.
When a school goes from being informative to transformative.
The inner satisfaction, knowing that you have made a
difference in that students life.
When the opportunity presented itself to become an Instructor,
I jumped at the chance. I have never looked back, never
regretted that decision.
That opportunity has once again presented itself.
With the new state-of-the-art Graves Golf Performance Center
opening up this year. We are looking for those special people
who want to become a Certified Graves Golf Instructor and
